Cherry Pie

Ingredients

216 oz cans sour pitted cherries packed in water, Store bought
1/2cup Sugar, Store bought
3-5Tbls Flour-All purpose, Store bought
1/4Teaspoon Nutmeg, Store bought
3Tbls Butter, Melted
2 Pie curst, Store bought

Equipment

  • Spoon
  • 2 quart pan
  • pie pan

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Empty cans of cherries into the 2quart pan, add sugar, nutmeg and flour. Cook until mixture is thick.
  3. Remove cherry mixture from the fire and let it cool for 15 minutes. Then place mixture in the 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Cover mixture in the pie shell with a pie curst, crimp the edges and vent the top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Place filled pie pan on a cookie sheet, place in the oven and cook for 30-45 minutes
  5. Remove from oven and allow pie to cool to for 2 hours before serving.
