Make-Ahead Breakfast Bake

Wonderful for the holidays. We mix the night before, and then bake while you open presents Christmas morning.

Ingredients

1lb Roll Turkey Sausage, frozen
2-3slices bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 1/2cup cheddar cheese, shredded
6 eggs,
2cup milk,
1/2tsp. salt,
1/2tsp dry mustard,

Equipment

  • 12" skillet
  • 12 x 8 x 2 baking dish
  • medium bowl

Directions

  1. Crumble sausage in a medium skillet; cook over medium heat until brown, stirring occasionally. Drain.
  2. Spread bread crumbs in a buttered 12 x 8 x 2 baking dish; top with sausage and cheese.
  3. Combine eggs, milk, and seasoning; beat well and pour over cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes or until set.
