Roasted Garlic

A quick way to make a good spread of roasted garlic. We like to use it in mashed potatoes.

Yields:
 20 cloves


Ingredients

1bulb garlic, unseparated
1tablespoon olive oil,

Equipment

  • aluminum foil
  • serrated knife

Directions

  1. Cut off the top of the garlic bulb. Drizzle in the olive oil, coating the top of the cloves and letting it seep in. Wrap in aluminum foil.
  2. Cook in the oven for 45 minutes at 450 degrees (faster in toaster oven), bottom down.
  3. Unrap foil and cook for 5 more minutes to brown the tops.
  4. Using hotpad gloves, squeeze the garlic and watch the cloves pop out. Eat and enjoy!
