Snickerdoodles

A favorite cinnamon sugar cookie.

Yields:
 6 dozen

Ingredients

1 1/2cups sugar,
1/2cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2cup shortening,
2ea eggs,
2 3/4cups Flour, all-purpose
2tsp cream of tartar,
1tsp baking soda,
1/4tsp salt,
3tbl sugar,
3tsp cinnamon,

Equipment

  • Mixer
  • Cookie sheet

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 deg F.
  2. Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
