Pork Teriyaki

From the Kitchen of Mark and Laura Goadrich,

We aggregated this recipe from a number of teriyaki recipes online and skipped the long marinate phase. It goes great served over a bed of rice.

Ingredients

2pounds pork, thinly sliced
2/3cup teriyaki sauce,
2teaspoons sesame oil,
2teaspoons ginger, shredded
3cloves garlic, minced
1teaspoon sesame seeds,
4medium carrots, julienned

Equipment

  • stir-fry skillet
  • food processor

Directions

  1. Thinly slice the pork into strips, about 1/4 inch thick or less. Place in bowl and add 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, letting sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, shred the ginger, mince the garlic and julienne the carrots (we used the food processor for the carrots). Add sesame oil to the stir-fry pan and heat to medium-high. Add ginger and garlic until soft and golden brown.
  3. Add pork and marinade to pan, stirring to evenly coat with spices. If needed, add some more teriyaki sauce to the mix until well coated. Cook until pork nearly done.
  4. Right near the end of cooking, toss in carrots and cook until soft. Serve on Jasmine rice.
