Pie Crust

Cookie's mother, Hellen, created a wonderfully crunchy and straight-forward recipe for pie crust; no rolling pin needed!

Yields:
 1 pie crust


Ingredients

1.5cups all purpose flour,
1.5tsp sugar,
1tsp salt,
.5cup cooking oil,
2tbsp cold milk,

Equipment

  • Fork
  • Pie plate
  • Cup

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place all purpose flour, sugar, salt into ungreased pie pan.
  2. Combine the cooking oil and cold milk in a cup. Whip with fork until cloudy. Pour mixture over flour in pie pan and mix with fork until well blended.
  3. With hands press into shape partially covering rim. Pinch dough into fluting for edging, pick and bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, or fill and bake.
